Benjamin Dickens, Ben, is one of the founders of Chromatic Climbers. Originally from Tuscon, Arizona, he started climbing to impress a girl. His fear of heights stopped it from becoming a passion. After he moved to Phoenix to go to college. It was at this time that climbing, specifically bouldering, became a real center point of his life. Many of the sports he tried before didn’t feel right. Soon he didn’t believe that sports were something for him, but there was something about climbing. In the hope of diversifying the climbing community with the board, they worked together to create Chromatic Climbers.

He really enjoys climbing, snowboarding, archery, and writing. He also loves to meet new people. If you see him don’t be scared to say hello.

My name is Kevin, I am from Tempe, Arizona. When I am in the mountains or at the crag I feel free. I love being able to use routes/boulders as a way to express and challenge myself. I’m hyped to be a part of the team and represent/grow a group of POC climbers & allies and foster new relationships in the mountaineering environment.

Adam Tran (he/him) is a board member of Chromatic Climbers and the Events Coordinator for the organization. Arizona local since 2012 and originally from Mesa, he is now working in Land Development in the City of Phoenix. Adam is an ASU alum who started climbing at the collegiate level there. He went to grad school for sustainable & environmental engineering and is passionate about conservation as well as the impact that climbers have on the natural world. His favorite things to do climbing are highballing outside or competition climbing inside. You can catch him at CC events or at any local crag; literally catch him, he needs a spot and a belay.
